On the L2/L3 switching layer, Netris configures FRR (open-source routing daemon) for BGP/EVPN control plane and standard Linux configuration files for interfaces, ACLs, and other, switch specific configuration. All configuration is generated automatically based on user-defined services and policies.
Netris package has a list of dependencies. For some operating systems, Netris requires special forks of several Linux applications (ifreload, arp-suppression, etc…) available on the Netris repository for customers.
Supported switch NOSes are Ubuntu Linux (with SwitchDev), Cumulus Linux, SONiC(alfa).
